ENGLISH: When Sofia contacted me to design the identity for Xhal Café, she shared with us how a simple cup of coffee transported her back to her home, even if she was on another continent. For her, coffee is more than a drink; it's a narrative and a moment of personal reflection. Therefore, the identity of Xhal Café had to reflect in a vibrant and authentic way the connection with the earth and the experiences shared around a cup of coffee.
Xhal Café is a specialized coffee and, in the very near future, a coffee shop that aims to provide a cozy and warm space. A place where customers can enjoy high-quality coffee while immersing themselves in the rich history and culture that lies behind each coffee bean.

ESPAÑOL: Cuando Sofía me contactó para diseñar la identidad de Xhal Café, nos compartió cómo una simple taza de café la transportaba a su hogar, aunque estuviera en otro continente. Para ella, el café es más que una bebida; es una narrativa y un momento de reflexión personal. Por eso, la identidad de Xhal Café debía reflejar de manera vibrante y auténtica la conexión con la tierra y las experiencias compartidas alrededor de una taza de café.
Xhal Café es un café especializado y, en un futuro muy próximo, una cafetería que aspira a brindar un espacio acogedor y cálido. Un lugar donde los clientes puedan disfrutar de un café de alta calidad mientras se sumergen en la rica historia y cultura que se esconde detrás de cada grano de café.
EN: The packaging of Xhal Café is not just a container, but a symbol of the dreams and beauty of its origin: the countryside of Xhalostoc, Morelos, Mexico. Each bag tells the story of the land where the beans were grown, carrying with it the aromas and flavors of the region. It connects us with nature and the dreams we share with every cup of coffee.
We developed illustrations that represent both the founder and the coffee plant. We opted for a contrast between a minimalist brand in beige and black and a vibrant packaging that becomes the center of attention.

ES: El packaging de Xhal Café no es solo un envase, sino un símbolo de los sueños y la belleza de su origen: el campo de Xhalostoc, Morelos, México. Cada bolsa cuenta la historia de la tierra donde se cultivaron los granos, llevando consigo los aromas y sabores locales. Nos conecta con la naturaleza y los sueños que compartimos con cada taza de café.
Desarrollamos ilustraciones que representan tanto a la fundadora como a la planta de café. Optamos por un contraste entre una marca minimalista en tono beige y negro y un empaque vibrante que se convierte en el centro de atención.
